Dr. Juliet Tien (Dr. J) is a renowned holistic health practitioner, speaker, TV and radio personality and author.  Born in Taiwan, Dr. J received her bachelor degree from National Taiwan University, along with Chinese Herbal Medicine training taught to her by her Godfather, a Chinese medical doctor in Taiwan.  She later moved to the United States where she earned her Master’s Degree from Boston College and her Doctorate from the University of California, San Francisco in Psychiatric/ Mental Health Nursing.  She is a former professor in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing at UCLA as well as the recipient of many awards and grants from prestigious institutions including the National Institute of Mental Health.

Her unique holistic approach of combining traditional Chinese herbal therapy, stress management and an Anti-Yeast Nutritional Program has helped thousands of people all over the world to lose weight and achieve optimal health. She is the founding president of several weight management centers, the formulator behind Dr.J’s Brand line of herbal products, designed to control the overgrowth of yeasts and parasites as well as heal illnesses related to yeast and parasites.  She also opened and managed an organic, vegetarian restaurant in Westwood, and is the author behind the best- selling books: Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing and Healthy & Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking.

Dr. J currently lives in Los Angeles, California, where she continues to work on the Dr.J line of herbal products, and a line of healthy and tasty frozen foods (soon to be seen in a market near you).
